ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: MADE LANDS

Minoosh Zomorodinia is an Iranian-born interdisciplinary artist who makes visible the emotional and psychological reflections of her mind's eye inspired by nature. She employs walking as a catalyst to reference the power of technology as a colonial structure while negotiating boundaries of lands. Zomorodinia earned her MFA in new genres from the San Francisco Art Institute, and holds a Masters degree in Graphic Design and BA in Photography from Azad University in Tehran. She serves on Southern Exposure’s Curatorial Council, the Berkeley Art Center Program Committee, and is a Board Member of Women Eco Artists Dialog. She currently lives and works in the Bay Area.
